From initial visit to ascertain works required in providing estimate all carried out in a timely fashion. Works commenced, the detail and quality of finish is fantastic, they clearly take pride in their work, respected my home, ensuring cleanliness and disruption was minimal.. Cannot thank Harry & Alex enough. The attention to detail made all the difference.. I would not hesitate to recommend. Harry from Blackmore arrived punctually for our appointment to put up an atlas wallpaper on our feature wall. Harry has done various painting jobs over the last year for me and has always been very precise, clean and on point. I finally chose a wallpaper for my hallway and would only trust Harry. He and Alex have just completed the job to a very high standard would fully recommend them.

Blackmore Painting and Decorating carried out a refresh of our garden cabin. Unfortunately it had suffered a lot of weather damage in certain areas. Harry & Alex set to work to rectify these issues with their expertise and attention to detail. It was so refreshing to have trades people who are such perfectionists. Any issues discovered along the way were discussed and addressed accordingly. It was a pleasure having them carry out the work. We now have a cabin that has been given the best tlc allowing us to enjoy using it for years to come. We will have no hesitation in getting them back to do other works within our property because they carry out their work to the highest standard. Good job guys.

I found this company in a Checkatrade leaflet and so glad I did. Harry is a very friendly and helpful man. Very particular in the way he works and does a great job. It was outdoor decorating and the weather wasn't very kind but Harry kept me informed of when he would be coming.

My living room, extension and bedroom all needed more than a paint and touch up! The prep that has gone into making sure the walls and ceilings were tidied up, cracks filled and smoothed so that there appears to have never been an issue. All woodwork repainted and two main feature walls papered with wallpaper and look amazing. The hard labour that Harry and Alex put in and their knowledge of decorating and other skills make them a formidable team and their work is of outstanding quality.

Decorating 3 bed house in Chelmsford. The guys did a fantastic job. Had cowboys in before who made a mess and after Blackmore P&D had been in, you'd never had known. Quality so much better, great attention to detail. High quality finish. Went above and beyond, explained everything really well and answered any questions I had. All at a very fair price. Genuinely lovely guys and would happily have them back!

Harry of Blackmore Painting and Decorating did a wonderful job of decorating a bedroom and carrying out maintenance, including rubbing down and re-sealing oak worksurfaces in our kitchen. We were grateful to Harry for his helpfulness and willingness to accommodate needs to work to suit us. Harry is very conscientious and works to achieve a high standard ensuring he leaves no mess.

I honestly can’t recommend Harry and Alex from Blackmore Painting & Decorating enough. They’re proper professionals and the quality of their work is brilliant. We used them when we first moved into our new place and liked them so much we had them back again straight away. On top of doing a really top-notch job, they’re actually nice to have around – friendly, easy to talk to, and they really listened to what we wanted. They even came up with some great ideas that made us change our minds in a good way. Everything was done carefully, with no mess and a clean finish, and they completed the painting and decorating jobs on time as previously agreed. We were in the process of selling my mother’s house and wanted to redecorate the interior. We contacted Blackmore Painting and Decorating and they gave us a competitive quote to paint all the woodwork walls and ceilings to the four bedroom house. They were able to start quickly and put down a lot of floor protection. Preparation to paint was extensive including removing curtains and blinds temporarily and filling caulking and mastic everything. Prior to painting. Little things like releasing the spotlights in the ceiling so he could paint behind and create a crisp finish. They painted the walls and ceilings with dulux trade paint and again the lines where the ceiling meets the walls were crisp. We are very pleased with the results. The woodwork was all painted Matt white which looks better than gloss. When they had finished the floor protection was removed and everything hoovered and cleaned. Customer service was great and they were able to accommodate viewings of the house. And always answered texts. I would definitely recommend Blackmore Painting and Decorating as they offer a professional service at a reasonable price and are friendly with it. I plan to use them again in the spring to paint my windows and doors.

We recently hired Blackmore Painting and Decorating after a very frustrating experience with another decorator, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We had initially chosen a cheaper contractor to decorate our hallway, but unfortunately the work was completed to a poor standard and they ended up leaving the job unfinished. It was a stressful situation, and we were left with a space that looked worse than when we started.

Harry and Alex stepped in to put things right, and the difference was immediately clear. From the outset, they were professional, reliable, and clearly took pride in their work. They carefully assessed what had been done previously and explained exactly how they would fix the issues, which gave us a lot of confidence.

The quality of their workmanship was excellent. Their attention to detail really stood out, particularly in the preparation work, which we now realise makes all the difference to the final finish. They used high-quality products throughout, and the end result is a clean, sharp, and durable finish that has completely transformed our hallway.

They also went above and beyond to correct the mistakes left behind by the previous decorator, ensuring everything was done properly rather than cutting corners. It’s clear they care about delivering a high standard of work and maintaining their reputation.

In addition to their workmanship, Harry and Alex were a pleasure to deal with. They were polite, respectful of our home, punctual, and worked incredibly hard each day to get the job completed to a high standard.

If there’s one takeaway from our experience, it’s that choosing the cheapest option can often cost more in the long run. We only wish we had gone with Blackmore Painting and Decorating from the start. That said, we’re very glad we found them, and we wouldn’t hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.
